👨‍⚕️ From Doctor to Developer

I started my career studying medicine — until I realised it didn’t truly satisfy me.

After a period of deep reflection, I made a difficult decision: I left medical school and enrolled in a web development course to pursue something I was genuinely passionate about — building software.

It was a leap of faith. I didn’t know exactly where I was heading — only that I felt a strong inner calling to follow a different path.

🧑‍🏫 From Student to Teacher

I had zero experience — just curiosity and commitment. I completed the entire 1-year course in just 6 months.

The same community college hired me to teach the very class I’d just finished. For the rest of the year, I was teaching students I’d previously sat beside.

Soon, my classes became the most attended in the entire department — because students connected with my teaching style.

Here are a few highlights from that journey that I remember warmly:

• A mother once came to my class, just to tell me how much her son looked forward to my class every day.
• Fellow teachers often dropped in to see why my sessions had such high attendance.
• My classroom was routinely filled with eager learners from a wide range of ages, spanning 16 to 70+.

👨‍💻 A Decade of Software & Teaching

Over the next decade, I built software — both professionally and personally.

Gradually, I stepped back from teaching to focus on deepening my own knowledge.

Because I wasn’t done learning...

🤖 Back to University for Robotics

At 29, I returned to university — this time as a mature student in robotics engineering.

I know what it’s like to learn something deeply technical later in life. To feel overwhelmed. To question your ability and doubt yourself.

But I kept going... The result?

Slowly — I began to understand.
Eventually — I began to thrive.
Finally — I fell in love with engineering all over again.

In fact, I discovered a new challenge:  I wanted to learn everything!

🛠️ The Creation of Vman Builds

I created Vman Builds to keep learning as much engineering as possible — and to bring others along for the ride!

I do this by helping serious makers master engineering fundamentals, solve real-world problems, and gain confidence in their technical skills — without needing a traditional degree.

Every topic I introduce is part of a broader journey — progressively building and applying knowledge across key areas of electronics and software.
